137th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Wayne, Crawford, Clinton, Butler, Blair, and Schuylkill counties, the 137th was a nine-month regiment and organized in August 1862. Colonel Joseph B. Kiddoo noted the 137th was given two state colors when it left Harrisburg in August 1862, however, the state color was not completed until September. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 1, 1863.
